We went in November and it was overcast and windy but there's no bugs. We saw a lot of geese, ducks and a red fox. We had a wonderful time.
What's not : The place is in pristine natural self and park authorities have not made much human structures and roads. If you have a truck or SUV it's fun, otherwise ok. Carry insect repellent, apply with generous doses and mimosas nature full clothing to cover yourself else be prepared for the onslaught.
What's good: Absolute paradise for Bird watchers in Delaware. Best season to visit is in the fall when the place is crowded with water fowls and herons. However the place won't let you down anytime of the year, you will get pretty much something birds around.
This is a fabulous wildlife park. Great views. Nice roads and a lot to see. Great friendly man inside with information.
Quiet place, in beautiful wetlands. lots of avian wildlife, and some furry critters, too (fox and deer, mainly). If you want landscapes, there's a nice view inland across one of the ponds. If you want bird shots, better have a long lens. Still, it's a nice, peaceful place to go, generally speaking.
