Not very friendly, left frustrated that I paid for one of the worst acrylic full sets ever. I'll be paying someone else to fix them to make them look more natural.
I went to D-Nails the day before new year hoping that they could have decent service even after my mother told me they made her bleed pretty bad the year before. But my usual nail shop was full and It was the afternoon before New years. When I walked in, he asked what do you want? Rude. I let him know that I wanted a mani and pedi but with acrylic on the manicure. He asked me to repeat myself, I did. I chose a color then sat down in the back to get pedicure. I let the man know that I wanted my toes square instead of rounded... he finished, my toe nails had no shape, kind of rounded, mostly crooked! He then told me to go to the front and that I could let my feet dry there while I get my nails done. He was a gentleman and carried my sneakers to the front and I sat down and showed him a reference picture of plain coffin nails. He then snatched my phone and started talking in their language to his coworkers showing my phone. They then seemed to start arguing still in their language. The man that harshly greeted me earlier then screamed to the top of his lungs saying "I ASKED YOU EARLIER, I ASKED YOU EARLIER!" I still thought he was arguing with his coworkers. He then started to snap his fingers at me saying "Lady? Lady". I turned around and asked him who is he talking to. He then let me know that they do not do acrylic and if I wanted that, they would've never took me. I reminded him that I said I wanted acrylic with my manicure. He told me I should've said I wanted a full set instead. We began to argue because I sensed he was lying because I never heard of a nail salon that doesn't do acrylic. He then begin to yell again at the top of his lungs. I was very disgusted and totally embarrassed. I snatched my phone back I told them that I am not paying for my pedicure but they insisted. I paid, and they advised me to let my toenails dry. I refused to stay there and feel belittled and disrespected! After I paid for a terrible service, I walked to my car with no shoes on, wet toe nails, and no acrylic nails. This was the worst service I have ever had, they were so rude to me. I didn't have my nails done for New years only an awful pedicure. I still cant believe I paid for this.....
My little secret for a great pedicure and to relax
Update! Second set of pics shows getting nails done by another gentleman by the name of Kevin, this was a month after first picks! The color acrylic is perfect for me because I’m the type that would chip my gel polish so the color acrylics are the best for me because no chipping color! nails lasted pretty well but he was able to refill it very well without looseness in between...
after my friend got her eyebrows done, her skin got irritated and now there’s scans around her eyebrows. but go to Hotnails instead, they’re work is fantastic
The people were nice and Antoine who did my nails did a very great job. He was very friendly and answered all my questions and concerns without any hesitation. Didn’t have to wait and needed certain type of job done which was getting color acrylic. Most nail salons don’t carry a variety of colors or don’t do color acrylics but they did so I was very thankful they did a good job.. will definitely go again when have to a fill.. I got a full set short round tips very soft and glittery pink. Color looks natural almost.
